2026-02-12 اقتصادية صلاح حاج إسماعيل - مريم أبو شالة

Abstract / Summary

Rural areas in post-war contexts within developing countries face major challenges that necessitate the adoption of comprehensive development strategies tailored to their specific needs. This research examines the concept of resilience as a modern tool for diagnosing the development reality and identifying the potential for rural development. Relying on secondary data and a practical case study, the study analyzes strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for applying this concept in war-affected rural environments.

The research explores the potential of using resilience as a strategic instrument in formulating post-war rural development plans, while assessing the effectiveness of available theoretical frameworks and the lessons that can be drawn to enhance real-world implementation. The findings indicate that post-disaster reconstruction efforts remain limited; however, resilience-based methodologies offer a flexible framework adaptable to the unique characteristics of each area. The study recommends integrating the resilience approach comprehensively across all aspects of rural livelihoods, while emphasizing the need for field-based studies in post-war contexts.
